Most villas with a private pool on this coast are in Marbella or Mijas, forty minutes or more from Málaga. Most places to stay in Málaga city are apartments with no pool and nowhere to park.
Villa Lina is both. You get a private pool, a garden and free parking in front of the house, with the old town fifteen minutes away by car and the beach at Pedregalejo in five. The neighbourhood of Pinares de San Antón is residential and quiet, with private security and almost nothing but detached villas.

Mornings are usually spent by the pool — the palm tree shades the sun loungers until midday, and there are umbrellas for afterwards. The covered veranda runs along the front of the house with plenty of seating options and a view over the pool to the sea, which is where most guests end up with a drink.
You can walk down to the beach at Pedregalejo in twenty minutes and eat grilled sardines at a chiringuito on the sand. Walk the other way and you walk into the pine forest in five minutes, with hiking up towards the cross on Monte San Antón.
In the evening the dining room and veranda both look out over the lights of Málaga city.

You will feel that it is an actual home with my decoration and furniture. No worries, I don’t leave personal photos behind.
